This is a video tutorial to demonstrate my workflow for creating a strong mono image from a fairly bland starting point.
In this image, I did not get the lighting right, but I really liked the pose and the expression, and the wide eyes. A square crop seemed to suit the image, and by converting to mono and applying a fair bit of 'dodge and burn' type techniques, I was able to create what I thought was a fairly dramatic mono print, from an admittedly 'bland' starting point.
