Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society

On Tuesday 6th September 2011 I achieved an ambition I have held for a few years, namely the ARPS Distinction from the Royal Photographic Society.

And on Saturday 26 November 2011 I also achieved the Distinction level from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain - the DPAGB award.

These are two very different awards - the ARPS involves 15 images being judged to the required standard as a 'panel' of specialised images - in my case 'Headshots.' The DPAGB involves 15 separate images being scored individually by a panel of 6 judges, the standard being 'Exhibition Photography.' At the end you have to have a total of at least 300 points to get the award.
